Encuentro Nacional de Pantomima en Durango

Mimes and clowns from ten states of the Mexican Republic and two invited countries, will converge at the 2nd National Pantomime, Circus and Clown Encounter entitled “Beyond Silence”, which will come to life in Durango capital.
José Baltazar Torres Sánchez, Director of the Pantomime Duranguense Company (COPADU), announced the details of this festival at a press conference, in which he explained that the art of silence will once again reach this capital, also extending its proposal to the municipalities of Mapimí, Lerdo and Gómez Palacio, with various activities for the enjoyment of children and adults.
He stressed that the start of the festival in the Durango capital will begin its itinerary on the 14th, however, due to logistics issues, the official opening will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 10:00 in the Francisco Villa Museum with present authorities and all invited exponents from entities such as: Chihuahua, Coahuila, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas and Durango, as well as the two invited countries: Venezuela and Argentina.
He added that on this occasion, the dean of the mime makers Gerardo Lira Castorena, will be the honor honoree, who will receive various awards on the 16th at the Youth Theater in Durango; the 17th at the Centauro Theater in Ciudad Lerdo and the 20th at the Alberto M. Alvarado Theater in Gómez Palacio.
He also stated that workshops, conferences, book presentations and interactions with invited schools will be held.
