Escuela de Mimoteatro de Bernal
The School focuses on teaching a purely gestural discipline based on corporal mime techniques and provides complementary seminars that enable the development of this.
“WHAT FEATURES OUR WORLD IS THAT YOU ARE SITTING, THE MIMA CORPOREA RISES, HAVING REPRESENTED THE WORLD, BEING IN THE MIMA IS TO BE MILITANT, A MILITANT OF THE MOVEMENT IN A WORLD THAT IS SITTING””
Rodolfo Luis Sardu
Graduated from the School of Mimoteatro by R. Escobar and I. Lerchundi, Rodolfo Luis Sardu, mime and psychodramatist, founded the School of Mime Teatro de Bernal. In 1997, he fulfilled the dream of his own house with wooden floors, motivated, in the beginning, by the concern about the body.
“I think it’s the sum of things. I think it’s the sum of human needs. The theme of breaking some structure, something we have formed by style, education, etc. As the thing is very enclosed, framed, is the lack of dedication to oneself. ”
“Art is one of the fundamental pillars for the change of society. To the extent that the proposal is individualistic and unique that closes us and narrows us all. ”
“Everything has to do with the proposal, with the desire of one. It has to do with an ancient word: love. The love from the art that is made, the love for the profession that one chooses or the love with the people or with whom one shares his hours. ”
A mime that I give in his classes, in his homework, in his talks, the soul. Without detours, without cover-ups, Rodolfo, always delivered and linked from his soul, that’s why he was always loved and respected. As it still is today. The pioneer of body work in the south.
“I learned that silence is like a musical note, and musical notes speak. Like the body. For me the important thing is to be able to reflect realities: love, justice, fright, pride … only with gestures and movements. “
